Petya

Sincerity, tenderness and aesthetic – you’re now reading the honest Interview I made with Petya. Her answers will surely charge you with positivity and desire to love and create, enjoy :

Let’s start with your beautiful Instagram page @bulgarian.poetry, which I suggest everyone to follow. What was the inspiration behind it?

  • The reason I created this account is my beloved Granny, who is sadly not among us. She loved the Bulgarian literature and every time I went to visit her, she recitated her favorite poems by Damyan Damyanov, Elisaveta Bagryana and others. So I created the page to be able to collect and have in one place only worthy and valuable content, that my Grandma would appreciate. I never thought or wanted the profile to become popular, it was and still is just something sentimental for me.

Do you create poetry yourself and what is writing for you?

  • It happens rarely, but I’m hoping that one day I’ll be able to write something long and meaningful. I believe everything comes the right time. For me writing is the medicine that can heal the soul imperceptibly. I believe that the writer must talk about his own experience and put his entire soul into the text, otherwise the reader won’t be able to connect to his feelings and experience his thoughts.

Favorite author that you wish you could get advice from?

  • Bulgarian one – Aleko Konstantinov for sure. If nationality is irrelevant – Dale Carnegie, because I’m sure there are a lot of things I could learn from him.

Is there a question you would like to ask yourself?

  • “Take a risk, what if it works out?”

Let’s talk about spring – tell me, what is your equivalent among the flowers?

  • My favorite flower is the peony, but I would define myself as a tulip for sure. Even thought it doesn’t have a scent, it brings coziness and smiles to every home, bringing the warm feeling of spring… the nice feeling of new beginnings.

Your description for “woman” is?

  • The woman is a person who feels and loves. Someone, who must bring harmony, gentleness and piece to the home. A woman is not afraid of showing her emotions and getting everything she deserves. She knows when to be gentle and when to say “no”. Although it is sometimes necessary to behave like a man in the corporate environment, she must know her worth, uphold her thoughts and sticks to “never settle for less than you deserve”. Above all, everybody should be creating and feeling happy, make the dreams come true and help bringing joy and happiness in other people’s life.

Favorite fashion quote?

  • “The greatest act of courage is to look after yourself.” – Coco Chanel

Should there be poetry in life?

  • Poetry is the natural continuation of every life. For some it comes at 15, for others at 50 – it is determined by the personal emotions everyone goes through.

Your favorite word?

  • “Thank you”. Even though lately I’m being paranoid about saying “I love you” to the people I care for the most. ( so if something happens to me, like being hit by a meteorite, they know it hahah )

On Instagram you upload pics of extremely delicate candles, made by you. What would you do with one candle time, if you had a choice?

  • I’m really happy you saw my new creations! I really want to spread my energy and emotions through the candles I make. Besides that, my answer about the possibility I wish I had with one candle time – I would go back to my carefree childhood, where I’m surrounded by all my grandparents and listen to their stories, while eating “mekizi”.
    • p.s. I actually have a voice record of a conversation I had with my Grandpa, before he died, but I’m still collecting courage to play and listen to it. I would suggest everyone to make a record with their grandparents like this one, because that will be the precious memory you will be left with.

What you’re burning for?

  • Everything that brings the positive energy in me – breathtaking view, music, delicious food, how the birds sing in the morning… I’m trying to be grateful for the little things in life. I’m feeling my best when I’m giving optimistic energy and smile to the people. Bringing joy to others – that’s what makes me feel alive and complete.

I saved a quote from your highlights by Dimitar Talev : “Believe that they will love you for yourself and get used that they will hate you for the same thing.”. How you deal with the bad around?

  • That’s an amazing quote! I’m an honest person so I’m used to be hated because of that. I personally don’t hate. If I feel that someone doesn’t like me, then I just stop the contact between us. I don’t feel like forcing relationships or feelings. I have a small friend circle and I’m happy about that, because I know I can count on these people on 100 %. I don’t make compromise with myself and I make it clear at the beginning of every new friendship.

You find aesthetic in…

  • My home, the nature, the simple things and accidentally captured or felt moments ( for example yesterday in our yard birds were singing magical melody that made me relax and just charge with positivity and creativity )

Thank you, Petya, for letting me in your world, it was a pleasure!

  • and I just want to say that you may expect some drunk/honest poetry from us, next time I return to Plovdiv hahah

Hugs,

Tedunche
